Identify and incorporate cultural topics into the story

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

One of the great advantages is to teach culture in the target language. However, culture is a big topic includes philosophy, historical figures and events, arts and music, architecture, etc. How to select a proper topic that is important to know, can be integrated into the target language and is interesting to our students require some thinking and planning. When to take a close look, two categories stand out, one is the culture that is closely related to daily life; the other is the customs that are displayed and reflected by the language. This session will demonstrate how these topics can be easily incorporated into stories and result in a deeper understanding of the culture.
