Ask a story 2.0 - A step toward compelling -Experienced Strand

This session will share ideas for maintaining interest beyond the background information and getting the repetitions of the focus structures in interesting ways.  Participants will focus on three things: 1) getting to the action, 2) being deliberate in using elements that are interesting to boys and girls, and 3) adapting anyone else’s story to YOUR needs.

Outcomes for attendees

Attendees will take away some strategies for increasing the compelling nature of the stories they ask as well as strategies for adapting any story to satisfy their needs.

Strategies for engagement and practice

Through demonstration, practice, and discussion attendees will experience simple to use elements that lead to compelling, repetitive input and story adaptation techniques.
